  Flashtool is one of the most useful pieces of third-party software to help upgrade/downgrade or change regional firmware for Sony Xperia devices. Developer Androxyde has updated the utility to version 0.9.25.0 which adds support for 2018 Sony Xperia handsets, including the Xperia XZ2 and XA2 range.    A word of warning if you already have existing FTF firmware files though, they will not work in this latest version of Flashtool. Flashtool is a S1 flashing software that works for all Sony phones from X10 to Xperia Z Ultra. They all use the S1 protocol for flashing firmwares.
